The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Specialty equips divers, boat crew members, dive professionals, and anyone involved in diving activities with the knowledge and practical skills to safely administer emergency oxygen.

This course is an excellent addition to any diver's education and is highly recommended for every member of the dive community.
 

You don't have to be a scuba diver to take this course—it's valuable training for anyone who wants to be prepared to respond confidently during a diving emergency.

Through classroom instruction and hands-on practice, you'll learn how to recognize diving-related injuries and safely provide emergency oxygen until professional medical care is available.

We will teach you how to:

​

  • Recognize signs and symptoms of diving illnesses and injuries

  • Identify situations where emergency oxygen should be administered

  • Assemble and inspect emergency oxygen equipment

  • Safely operate different oxygen delivery systems

  • Deliver oxygen to a breathing diver

  • Assist a non-breathing diver using a pocket mask with supplemental oxygen (where appropriate)

  • Monitor the injured diver while awaiting emergency medical services

  • Handle oxygen equipment safely and responsibly

  • Maintain and store emergency oxygen equipment
