PADI RESCUE DIVER
Are you prepared to become a more confident buddy and handle unexpected underwater emergencies? The PADI Rescue Diver Course is a transformational step in your diving journey, focusing on accident prevention and management. You'll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well-being of others while diving under the expert supervision of our PSI dive professionals.​This course is described by many as the most challenging yet rewarding class they have ever taken. Through a combination of knowledge development and realistic rescue scenarios, you will practice vital problem-solving skills until they become second nature. This certification builds your composure and makes you a more capable diver who is ready to respond in any situation, ensuring every dive trip remains a safe and enjoyable experience.​

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Prerequisites
Certified as a PADI Adventure Diver (with Navigation dive) or Advanced Open Water Diver, or equivalent from another agency.

Be at least 12 years old for Junior Rescue Diver or 15 years old for the full PADI Rescue Diver certification.

Have completed Emergency First Response (EFR) training within the last 24 months. Submit a signed PADI Diver Medical form for review.
Course Objectives & Timing
This intensive training consists of confined and open water sessions over 2 to 3 days. Expect deep involvement as we practice 10 required rescue exercises and two full-scale rescue scenarios in a realistic environment. Â

To earn certification, students must finish all online eLearning modules and pass the Rescue Diver final examination.

Prepare an emergency assistance plan for a dive site.Demonstrate mastery of all 10 rescue exercises.Succesfully manage two simulated rescue scenarios.Display sound judgment and safety awareness during all drills.​
