As a PADI Divemaster, you'll move beyond simply being a recreational diver—you'll become a role model, mentor, and leader. Throughout the course, you'll refine your diving skills to a professional level, develop exceptional leadership abilities, and gain the experience needed to supervise dive activities and assist PADI Instructors with diver training. PADI Divemasters are qualified to guide certified divers, conduct certain PADI programs independently, and play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of dive centers around the world.

Whether your goal is to work at a tropical dive resort, crew a liveaboard, guide local charters, or continue on to become a PADI Instructor, the Divemaster course is where your professional journey begins.
ABOUT THIS COURSE
Prerequisites
To enroll in the PADI Divemaster Course, you must:

Be at least 18 years old

Be certified as a Advanced Open Water diver (or qualifying certification)

Be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification)

Have completed Emergency First Response (EFR) Primary and Secondary Care (or equivalent CPR/First Aid training) within the previous 24 months
-
Have at least 40 logged dives to begin training
-
Submit a physician-signed medical statement if required by the diver medical questionnaire
-
Have at least 60 logged dives before certification is issued
Course Goals & Schedule
The Divemaster course is performance-based rather than time-based.
